We proudly offer faculty-led study abroad programs, providing students with immersive experiences that enrich their cultural insights and academic knowledge. These programs not only deepen language proficiency but also cultivate adaptability and intercultural communication skills, preparing students for success in an interconnected world.

Spanish Minor

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½appÆÆ½â°æ's Spanish minor allows students to immerse themselves in the Spanish language and its diverse cultures through a flexible 18-hour curriculum. Students can select from a variety of courses, including introductory and intermediate language classes and specialized topics like Legal Spanish, Business Spanish, Medical Spanish, and Spanish Culture on Location. This program is ideal for students seeking to enhance their communication skills and cultural understanding, providing valuable preparation for international business, healthcare, law, education and public service careers.

Classics Minor

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½appÆÆ½â°æ's Classics Minor offers students an interdisciplinary exploration of ancient Greek and Roman civilizations through courses in classical mythology, literature, history, and languages such as Latin and Ancient Greek. This 18-credit program is ideal for students interested in deepening their understanding of the classical foundations of Western culture, enhancing critical thinking, and preparing for careers or graduate studies in fields like education, law, history, archaeology, and the humanities.

Study Abroad Scholarship

The Chancellor's Award for Global Competitiveness(CAGC) aims to foster international awareness and better assimilation of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½appÆÆ½â°æ students in the worldwide workplace. The awards, enabled by proceeds derived from the TROY Foundation's TROY Car Tag program and other international travel funding, will be available in $1,250 increments to qualified students participating in university-approved study abroad programs. These awards are governed by the eligibility requirements and conditions described below.

Honor Society

Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, was founded in 1919 to recognize excellence in studying the Spanish language, literature, and cultures. With over 625 chapters nationwide, it promotes academic achievement, cultural appreciation, and community engagement among Spanish students. Membership is a prestigious honor, signifying a commitment to advancing Hispanic studies and global understanding.

For one Trojan, a world away from ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½appÆÆ½â°æin Japan is almost like being at home where every-day values of compassion, competence and respect are mainstays of society and business. Derek Young, a 1986 Finance graduate of the Sorrell College of Business, now leads Fidelity International's Japan operations. He is president and representative director at FIL Investments Limited the asset management arm, as well as FIL Securities K.K. which provides investment products and services to Japanese investors. He is a member of Fidelity International's Global Operating Committee.
