Biography

Captain Jeffrey Gregory began his military studies at R.S Central High School Marine Corps JROTC, graduating in 2004 as Cadet Sergeant. He received his Bachelor of Arts in American History with a minor in physics and a special focus study in foreign languages from Appalachian State University in May 2008. Following his graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army and attended basic training at Fort Benning in March 2013. After achieving the rank of Specialist, he attended Officer Candidate School and commissioned as an officer on June 5, 2014.

CPT Gregory has completed multiple courses and studies, including Airload Planners, GCSS Army Warehouse and Maintenance Management, Environmental Protection Officer Course, Contracting Officer, and Support Operations Level I and II.  

His awards and medals include two Army Commendation Medals, the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Over Seas Service Ribbon.

Sergeant First Class Jeffry Silba
Military Science Instructor

Bio

Sergeant First Class Jeffry Silba enlisted into the Army in July 2006 and attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Upon completion of training, he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 19D, Cavalry Scout.

SFC Silba has deployed to Iraq, Egypt, Afghanistan and Poland, and has lived at duty stations across Texas and Georgia. He has served as Bradley Fighting Vehicle Gunner, Dismount Team Leader, Section Leader, Operations Sergeant Major, Cavalry Instructor and Cavalry Platoon Sergeant.

His awards and medals include Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal 6 OLC, Army Achievement Medal 6 OLC, Army Good Conduct Medal- 6th award, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal one campaign star, Iraq Campaign Medal two Campaign stars, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development with number 3 device, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with numeral five, NATO  Ribbon, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Ribbon 2OLC, Meritorious Unit Citation, Combat Action Badge, Army Basic Instructor Badge, and German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.

 

john stafford

Captain John Stafford
Assistant Professor of Military Science

Bio

Captain John Stafford graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a minor in Spanish in 2007. He commissioned at OCS (E CO, 3-11th IN BN) as a Distinguished Military Graduate.

Prior to commissioning, CPT Stafford served eight years in the 39th Infantry Brigade, serving in both a heavy weapons company and a light-infantry company from 2001-2009, deployed twice to Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004-2005 and 2008.  

After commissioning, he served as Platoon Leader, Troop Executive Officer, Team Chief and Company Commander at stations in South Korea, Washington, Afghanistan, California, Texas and Mississippi.

Key schools and training included basic training and 11B-OSUT at Fort Benning, Georgia, 11H-MOSQ, ITAS-certification for using heavy weapon optics, Maneuver Captains Career Course, PLDC, BNCOC-PH. 1, FBCB2 OPNET, and UPL training.

Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Henderson
Professor of Military Science

Bio

Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Henderson is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. He also holds a Master of Arts in Intelligence Studies from American Military University.

LTC Henderson was commissioned in 2002 as a Military Intelligence Officer detailed to armor. Following completion of his initial training, he was assigned to Ft. Riley, Kansas where he served as a tank platoon leader in 2nd Battalion, 34thArmor Regiment and as an Assistant Brigade S2. 

His military schooling includes the Armor Officers Basic Course, the Military Intelligence Transition and Captains Career Course, the Geospatial Intelligence Officers Course, the US Army Command and General Staff Course, Red Team Member Course, the Air Cavalry Leaders Course, and the Army, Military Intelligence, and Garrison Pre-Command Courses.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (5 OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC), Korean Defense Service Medal, Combat Action Badge, and the Army Recruiter Identification Badge.
